Photo-shoots, printing and frames

I had a really good day in the darkroom yesterday and I think I have more or less finished my final prints for the exhibitions. However, I feel that is too good to be true and I am meeting my lecturer tomorrow and I am more than sure that he will have more than a few words on the matter. Regardless, I need to get all my prints done by Monday at the latest to take them to the framers on Tuesday, Wednesday at the latest.

Today I went to a couple of framers, to get some quotes for frames. Originally I was supposed to get a very thin white frame, about 5mm. But the stuff they had was just way to glossy for my liking so I gave in to a thicker white wooden frame instead. Its about 3/4 of an inch and I think it looks good. Again, I'm sure my teacher will share his opinions on it. So I got 10 frames at 12x16 and it's going to cost me about £200. Fun expensive times.

I also had a photo shoot for a friend this morning. The friend studies textiles, specialising in weave but wants to work as a stylist. You can find her blog here. So she has created a collection of some beautiful fabrics and she needed some photo's of them for her degree show. She is covering this old chair with her fabric, so a few shots of that was needed. Plus a few set ups with some cool little objects and frames and stuff. Its the first time I've ever done this type of photography, I just hope she likes them. I was pretty useless in the studio and had to get a friend to set it all up. Now that I've seen how its done I think I should be ok for next time. Fun times. Once the pictures are edited and stuff I will post some up on here.

On a totally different note, can someone please explain to me why the guys who live above me can be so damn heavy footed. Ahh.
